Singapore's family services are delivered primarily through ~40 Family Service Centres (FSCs) across all constituencies, supported by 20+ Social Service Offices (SSOs) for financial assistance applications. The system covers family counselling, financial aid (ComCare), family violence intervention, and children/youth protection. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEMES
ComCare Short-to-Medium-Term Assistance (SMTA)
Temporary financial help for lower-income individuals/families who are temporarily unable to work, job-seeking, or earning low income.
- Eligibility: Monthly household income ≤$1,900 or per capita income ≤$650
- Amount: Cash assistance tailored to household needs (varies by size and circumstances)
- Duration: Typically 3–6 months, renewable
- Additional support: Utility bills, rental, S&CC assistance; job referrals

- Higher rates from 1 April 2025
ComCare Long-Term Assistance (LTA)
Ongoing support for those permanently unable to work due to old age, illness, or disability.
- Eligibility: Singapore Citizen/PR; permanently unable to work; little/no family support
- Amount (from April 2025): 1-person household ~$760/month (up from $640). Scales by household size.

CDC Vouchers (FY2025)
Digital vouchers for all Singaporean households — no income test required.
- Amount: $800 total ($500 from May 2025 + $300 from Jan 2026)
- Eligibility: Any household with ≥1 Singapore Citizen

- Valid until: 31 December 2026
- Usable at: Participating supermarkets, hawkers, heartland merchants
